Election Statement
Flavia is a passionate leader, manager and engineer with extraordinary achievements in her personal and professional life, she is committed, determined to positively contribute to APM and support the development of organisation strategy and success.
Looking back a decade ago, Flavia was a non-English speaker teenager, motivated, ambitious and with the desire to build a successful career and progress in the United Kingdom. Flavia started her journey by working in the hospitality industry for few months to learn English, then she progress and worked in various businesses to provide administrative, finance support. In 2014 she decided to challenge herself and joined one of the largest oil & gas companies and projects as an engineering technical administrator. Flavia`s ethics, values, character and personality has been acknowledged and her talent and dedication to learn and positively contribute has been contributed to her career growth. For the past decade , Flavia continue to grow within the nuclear and defence industry and at the same time positively contributed by developing strategies, policies, processes and successfully delivered complex engineering projects.
Flavia has always been working alongside senior stakeholder supporting them and the organisations to shape their culture, operated at strategical level and programme level.
Flavia is a non-executive director since 2017 support an engineering reliability business which is providing predictive and proactive maintenance to most industries across UK.
Flavia has been acknowledge for her competences and she is a member of the The Institute of Interim Management, recognised her C-Suite capabilities.
Please outline any previous experience as a company director, charity trustee or committee member
Flavia has been working on senior project roles within various industries such as defence, nuclear , oil & gas , government and infrastructure and has been a non-executive director supporting an engineering reliability business in UK.
In addition, Flavia has been a committed volunteer and supported many organisations with mentoring the next generations but she has been an ethical chartered leader and engineer with in-depth management experience.
She is an active advocate of ethical leadership, values and equality. Flavia would be an ideal addition to the existing APM Board, bringing with her extraordinary commitment and dedication to inspire and motivate others.
What diverse qualities, skills and experience would you bring to the APM Board?
Flavia is very unique, she is a complex senior professional with robust knowledge in project management, leadership, project controls, engineering, strategy and policies.
Flavia`s commitment, dedication and passion towards her profession is inspirational and her energy and drive has been acknowledged throughout the years in many industries.
Flavia is an ethical leader, driven by her passion and she will continue to grow, inspire and motivate others through leading by example.
She is driven by values, integrity and will put her leadership, strategic critical thinking and fairness positive mark in every organisation.
What contribution would you make to support APM in achieving its vision?
Flavia`s broad and extensive experience will contribute the development and/or amendment of the existing strategies, policies and processes by implementing, innovative ways of successfully delivering projects whilst maximising efficiency and effectiveness.
Flavia has been always courageous, creative and innovative. Her strategic critical thinking and ability to see in the big picture will drive excellence.
She is an ethical leader, who has always been inclusive, constructively challenge organisations and improve their culture though leading by example. She has collaborated widely and build strong effective teams which champion values and ethics. Her work and performance always exceeded expectations and has been outstanding.
